DR. UMAR JOHNSON

Dr. Umar Johnson is a controversial public figure, speaker, author, and social activist. He is known for his work as an educator and psychologist, often focusing on issues affecting African-American communities, such as education, mental health, and systemic racism.

Dr. Umar Johnson has spoken extensively about challenges within the education system, particularly regarding African American children. He is often described as a Pan-Africanist and a follower of Marcus Garvey's teachings. He is vocal about the need for better educational opportunities for African American children, including addressing the overdiagnosis of learning disabilities and ADHD.

Last night, he addressed his concerns about African American children in the special education system in America. Dr. Umar spoke to the parents in the audience about the challenges African American children face in American Public Schools and gave instructions on what to look for and how to advocate for themselves.

Dr. Umar is a strong proponent of independent, African-centered education and has proposed building schools for boys that focus on this philosophy. Dr. Johnson has been fundraising for years to establish the FDMG Academy, a private school for African-American boys. Due to delays and questions about transparency, the project has been met with both support and criticism. While he has a significant following, Dr. Umar Johnson is also polarizing. Critics have questioned his credentials, the use of funds for his school project, and some of his views on race and gender. Dr Umar Johnson is no stranger to controversy.
